Death investigation underway in Harrington
HARRINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating after a man was reportedly found lying unresponsive in the roadway early Friday morning.
Troopers were called to Killens Pond Road, between Sandbox Road and Bloomfield Road at around 1:10 a.m. On arrival, they found a 40-year-old male unresponsive in the roadway.
The man was taken to Sussex Bayhealth Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Delaware Division of Forensic Science will be performing an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. His identity is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
