Unemployment filings continue to decrease in Del., but still remain at record levels
DOVER, Del. – The pace at which Delawareans are filing for unemployment is continuing to ease, however numbers still remain at record levels.
According to the Delaware Department of Labor, more than 9,290 unemployment claims were filed last week, which is down more than 13,000 filings from the previous week, and is less than half of the number of filings each week for the two-week period ending April 4th.
More than 71,000 Delawareans have filed for unemployment benefits since March 15th, including more than 30,000 in March alone.
