Cape Stays Undefeated After Tough Battle With Queen Anne’s

The Cape Henlopen girls lacrosse team had what might be their toughest battle of the season as they faced Queen Anne’s and won 8-6 improving to 3-0 on the season. 

The rain poured down on this game forcing girls to slide a couple times and get fouled more than usual, and Cape had a 5-2 lead at the half. 

As the sun started to peep out of the clouds and rain turned into light sprinkles these girls got there footing and the Lions were able to put themselves within one. 

with 13 minutes to go Queen Anne’s ties this one up. Cape most challenging game thus far and maybe the rest of the season. 

But Cape was able to put it away and win and the returning champions remain undefeated.
