Ravens Hold On For Road Win At Parkside

The Sussex Tech boys lacrosse team hit the road Wednesday night and gutted out a win over Parkside 11-10. The win improves the Ravens to 3-0, while the loss drops the Rams to 1-3.

The Ravens would jump out to a quick lead after getting a couple goals from Matt Tull and Jason Whaley. The Rams found themselves down 3-1 in the second quarter before going on a run. Jakob Keidell would win a faceoff to spark a break, leading to a quick score. Shortly after that, Austin Ingley would beat his man 1 on 1, drive in and whip in a shot to tie up the match. The Ravens would score late in the half to take a 4-3 lead into the break. The Rams quickly answered in the 2nd half as Keidell would again win a faceoff, forcing the advantage for a goal. But the Ravens kept on coming, adding scores from Nathan Quillin in the 3rd to help take a 9-6 lead into the 4th. Parkside would make a run at it there, but Sussex Tech was able to hold on for the win.

Parkside returns to work on Friday when they travel to take on Kent County, while Sussex Tech travels to take on Caesar Rodney on Friday.
