Former Del. massage parlor owner ordered to pay $120K in civil penalties
DELAWARE – A former massage parlor owner who pleaded guilty to permitting prostitution will have to pay more than $100,000 in civil penalties.
Da Zhong Wang was ordered to pay $40,000 each for three violations of Delaware’s Organized Crime and Racketeering Act. Prosecutors had sought the maximum penalty of $100,000 per violation and asked that Wang also be ordered to pay state’s attorney fees, however the judge denied that request.
Wang, who owned and operated massage parlors in Middletown, Dover, Smyrna, and Rehoboth Beach, pleaded guilty to one count of permitting prostitution back in 2015.
