Three deaths, 88 new COVID-19 cases reported in Del.

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says three more Delawareans have died as a result of the coronavirus.

The most recent deaths include an 83-year-old Sussex County woman, 53-year-old Kent County woman, and 46-year-old New Castle County man. Officials say all three had underlying health conditions and were either hospitalized or living in a long-term care facility.

In addition, 88 new cases have been reported in the state, bringing the total to 2,014. The majority of the cases remain in New Castle County, which has a total of 974. 345 cases are in Kent County, and 678 are in Sussex.

At this time, 208 people are hospitalized, 48 of whom are critically ill. 354 have made a full recovery.
