Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention to host human trafficking investigators seminar

For three days, authorities will gather in Ocean City with one common goal. To battle, and prevent human-trafficking.
The first Maryland human trafficking seminar kicked off Monday in Ocean City. It’s hosted by the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and prevention. According to officials, investigators use the three-day seminar to discuss the topics of sex trafficking, victimization, and even suggest certain investigative techniques that may help prevent human trafficking in the state of Maryland.
According to Thomas Stack, a Human Trafficking Policy Analyst, the seminars gives investigators a chance to learn from each other.
He says, “Most importantly they’re networking to come to a unified front in Maryland. Basically,to make Maryland the least attractive state in the United States for traffickers to come to.”
According to officials, the Governor’s Office of Crime Control & Prevention sole purpose is to educate, connect, and empower Maryland’s citizens. For more details on the seminar, there is a link below to the website.
