UPDATE: Water restored after main break causes sinkhole

A Chesapeake Utilities spokesperson says water service has been restored after a water main break caused sinkhole in Lewes Thursday.
We’re told Chesapeake Utilities is expanding a natural gas main along Plantations Road.
An utility contractor that works for Chesapeake Utilities reportedly hit a water main.
We’re told this incident caused very little water service interruption, but it has been restored as of Thursday night.
Police say a man who lives on the 20000 block of Plantations Road drive into the sinkhole on Thursday; however, no injuries were reported.
