Vikings Win Behind Elliott’s Stellar Performance

The Cape Henlopen baseball team topped Delmar in shut out fashion by winning it 4-0.
Sophomore Austin Elliott had a stellar performance as he carried a no-hitter into the 5th inning. He ended up pitching 5 2/3 innings before giving up one hit which was Delmar’s only hit of the game. He also had 16 k’s in that performance. He eventually was pulled due to a pitch count.
Noah Piper went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple, and Will Jarrell was 2 for 3 with 2 rbi’s and a run scored to lead the way.
For Delmar Chris Richardson had the break up hit.
The Vikings are back in action Tuesday at Caesar Rodney.
Delmar will face off against Indian River on Saturday.
