Rams Roll Past Parkside

The Parkside softball team picked up a nice conference win Tuesday when they defeated Bennett 12-2. The win improves the Rams to 8-2, while the Rams drop to 6-5.

The Rams would jump out to a quick 2 run lead before the Clippers would respond with 2 of their own. The teams would be knotted headed into the 3rd, where the Rams began to grab a little bit of breathing room. They would start it with a RBI base knock from McKenna Reddick. Cannon would then help her own cause with a 2 RBI double off the wall in center to push the lead to 10-2. The Rams looked like they might put it away in that inning after a single to center looked to score another run, but Emma Chandler would gun down a runner at the plate with a perfect throw. Shortly after that, the Rams would get robbed of a couple more runs after Cheyenne Harvill made a beautiful catch on a line drive towards left. But Cannon would continue to deal from the bump as Parkside would close it out for the win.

Parkside returns to work on Thursday when they host Kent Island, while Bennett will host Queen Anne’s on Thursday.
