UPDATE: Police in Dover arrest suspect in home invasion

The Dover Police Department say, a suspect has been arrested following an assault and home invasion earlier this week.

According to police, 23-year-old Keontre Hynson was taken into custody on Thursday. Hynson was reportedly arrested while walking in the area of North New Street.

His arrest reportedly stems from an assault early Sunday morning at a home on Fulton Street. Hynson allegedly entered the 20-year-old victim’s residence during a small gathering, uninvited. When the victim told Hynson to leave, he apparently struck the victim in the back of the head with a handgun and then fled the residence.

Hynson has been charged with home invasion and assault. He is reportedly being held on a $35,000 cash bond.
