Somerset Co. celebrates 3rd annual community field day

It was all about living healthy and enjoying the outdoors during the 3rd annual Somerset Community Field Day.

Folks of all ages enjoyed games and activities, face painting and performances from some local high school bands. Those in attendance also got to check out a special healthy cooking station. Unfortunately though after two hours the fun was cut short due to brief rain showers

“The main goal is to expose the good citizens of Somerset County to all of the different things in the county that can help them establish wellness as far as their eating habits, activities, all those types of things and show them that you can do that and have a good time too.” Said Clint Sterling, Director of Somerset County Rec. and Parks.

Sterling says even though the event only lasted two hours, it was a huge success. We’re told 500 people turned out.
