Whiskey and Randy Morning Show doing their part during pandemic
SALISBURY, Md.- With so much negativity happening in the world right now with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Whiskey and Randy Morning Show, is still trying to spread positivity.
The radio station, Froggy 99.9, in Salisbury, provides listeners with entertainment and also useful information, and Whiskey and Randy are continuing to do that through these troubling times.
“Of course we need to talk about COVID-19 and it’s effects because it’s affecting every single person, not only Delmarva, across the nation, across the world, but also trying to find that balance because we can be that escape as well, we try to have as much fun as we can,” Randy Scott, Whiskey and Randy Morning Show Co-Host, said.
We are told that they are working with advertisers, like Peninsula Regional Medical Center, to get the right information to their listeners about the pandemic.
“All the changes that are going on there you know it’s important that we continue that relationship, we continue to try and get the messaging out for people who are just wondering, trying to figure out if I’m feeling symptoms,” Scott said.
While they want their routine to remain the same, they have had to make adjustments like cancelling in studio interviews and not making public appearances.
“Pretty much every event in the area that we were going to be at got cancelled so there’s been a lot of things that we’ve kinda had to step away from,” Scott said.
But through this all, they will continue to focus on the positive and bring you laughter.
“To be able to continue that little normalcy hopefully and routine for people. I think it’s important because everything has just been rocked right now with all of this,” Scott said.
