Hogan taps Jameson to head marijuana commission

Gov.Larry Hogan as appointed a new executive director for Maryland’s Medicinal Cannabis Commission. The new man in charge, Patrick Jameson.

Jameson served as a Maryland State Trooper from 1987 to 1999

During his time with the state police he worked in the Special Operations Division, the Emergency Operations Section, and the White Collar Crime and Special Investigations Unit.

After his time there, Jameson ran for office as a republican candidate for Anne Arundel county sheriff in 2010 and a county executive in 2013, but he did not win those bids.

In his duties heading the cannabis commission Jameson will oversee licensing for cannabis growers, processors and distributors.
