Mardela Clinches South Title, Tops Bennett

Another year, another Bayside South Title for the Mardela softball team as they clinched their 6th straight title Wednesday with their 9-1 win at Bennett. The win improves the Warriors to 15-3, while the loss drops the Clippers to 7-6.

The Warriors would be able to grab an early lead after an RBI single from Megan Roy. They would then stretch that lead to 3-0 by the end of the 3rd after getting a couple more runs in, including off a RBI single from Sydney Goertzen. The Clippers continued to battle, as Fallon Harvill made a few great pitches to get herself out of a few jams. But the Warriors kept coming and were able to close out the game for the conference clinching win.

Bennett returns to work on Thursday when they travel to Wi-Hi, while Mardela travels to Cambridge SD on Wednesday.
