SU & Wesley Men’s Lacrosse Members Honored With CAC Awards
The Capital Athletic Conference announced their 2016 Men’s Lacrosse awards, with several SU and Wesley players being honored. Headlining this years group included SU’s Jim Berkman who was named the CAC Coach of the Year for the 10th time, while Thomas Cirillo was named the CAC Player of the Year.
Joining Cirillo on the 1st-Team All-CAC list, included James Burton, Preston Dabbs, Nathan Blondino, Andrew Ternahan, Kyle Tucker and Will Nowesnick. Cirillo is currently tied for the conference lead with 75 points, while Burton is leading the CAC in assists with 42. Blondino also has played a huge part in their success on offense, with 75 points himself. Dabbs earns 1st-Team for the 4th straight year, helping anchor the defense, along with Ternahan, Tucker, and Nowensnick.
Only one Wolverine was honored this year, as Sam Seibert was named to the 1st-Team All-CAC. As for 2nd-Team, four Sea Gulls were honored included Davis Anderson, Carson Kalama, Aaron Leeds and Duncan Campbell.
