BREAKING: DE U.S. Sen. Coons projected to win re-election

Salisbury, Md. – The Associated Press is projecting Sen. Chis Coons (D-Del.) to win Delaware’s U.S. Senate seat, defeating his opponent Dr. Mike Katz.

Coons has told WMDT his priorities have included lowering costs and increasing wages and expanding access to health care.

AP called the race prior to precincts reporting results and prior to any votes being counted. This will be Coon’s third term as U.S. senator after assuming office in 2010.
