One charged for burglary at Dover Super Lodge

25-year-old Xavier Spady

For the second time in two weeks, a man was arrested in connection to a burglary at a Dover hotel.

Dover Police say early Wednesday morning, just after 12:00 AM, 25-year-old Xavier Spady forced his way into an unoccupied hotel room at the Super Lodge on North DuPont Highway, in Dover. Once inside, Police say Spady damaged the bathroom, and stole several items from inside the room.

Investigators were apparently able to identify Spady after looking over surveillance footage of the incident. He was then taken into custody on White Oak Road, on Thursday evening, without incident. After his arrest, Spady was charged with burglary third degree, criminal mischief, and theft under $1,500. He was then ordered to be held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Center on a $1,600 bond.

Back on April 15, Spady was arrested and charged, in connection with a robbery at the Dover Inn.
