Three new COVID-19 cases announced on Virginia’s Eastern Shore

Corona

ACCOMAC, Va. – The Eastern Shore Health District announced Monday morning that three more individuals in the area tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend.

We’re told that two of the three cases have no known travel off of the Shore and no contact with previously confirmed cases. The Health District says they have conducted a thorough investigation of the cases and any potential exposures.

It is believed that the two cases are evidence of the beginning of community transmission of the virus.

Residents should call 757-787-5880 with questions about the coronavirus.
