Troopers investigating shots fired during large fight in Magnolia

Troopers say they are investigating several shots that were fired in a Magnolia neighborhood while a party was dispersing, after a bullet hole was found in the bedroom of a 3-year-old.
Delaware State Police say around midnight on Sunday, Troopers responded to West Chestnut Ridge Drive, for numerous calls about a loud party. Once on scene, Troopers say the party was beginning to clear out, and a large crowd started to form. Within the crowd, Investigators say a fight started, and as Troopers moved in, multiple gun shots were fired by unknown subjects at the party.
Felton and Dover Police responded to assist, and the crowd ended up scattering without any other incidents or gunfire. Police say no injuries or victims of the altercation were reported, and no arrests were made.
According to the report, later Sunday afternoon, a resident of Cider Run reported finding a bullet hole in their 3-year-old daughter’s bedroom. The residents reportedly told Investigators that they had heard the commotion through the night, and gathered up their children before running into their basement for their own safety. None of them were physically injured in this incident.
Trooper say the incident remains under investigation. They are asking anyone with any information regarding the subjects who fired the guns to contact Troop 3 Major Crimes Unit at 302-698-8434 or at 1-800-TIP-3333.
