SALISBURY, Md. – Multiple fire companies responded to an oven fire at a Salisbury restaurant on Sunday evening.

The Salisbury Fire Department, alongside the Fruitland, Allen, and Hebron Volunteer Fire Companies, responded to a fire at Crimson Coward, located within University Plaza on northbound Route 13. Crews reported that smoke was visibly coming from the building upon arrival.

In a video of the response obtained by WMDT, patrons of the restaurant and neighboring businesses can be seen waiting outside the building while firefighters work on the scene. At least three firetrucks responded to the plaza, with one utilizing the tower ladder to conduct operations from the roof.

While it is currently unclear whether the neighboring businesses in the commercial strip were impacted, RAR Brewing shared a photo on Monday morning saying they were “Good to go over in Salisbury”. RAR, also known as Chessie’s Campus, is one of four other businesses located alongside Crimson Coward in the strip; Rise Up Coffee Roasters, The Twist Indian Grill, and Arlo Scarlett Salon.
