Country Calling Returns to Ocean City for a Weekend of Boot Scootin’ Boogie

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The boardwalk and beach in Ocean City are filled with cowboy hats and boots as thousands of fans attend the Country Calling music festival at the inlet.

From Grammy winning headliners to concert after-parties, festival-goers, like Emma Ward, have plenty to look forward to as the two day event kicks off.

“I think getting to just kind of see some new music that I haven’t heard before, and the vibes in general.” Said Ward.

The festival opened it’s gates on Friday October 2nd, and keeps the music going into Saturday the 3rd. Although the weather was sunny for opening day, festival-goers shared a lingering concern, following inclement weather cancelling Oceans Calling the weekend prior.

Country Calling attendee Nakkai Morris, shared her concerns following the storm.

“I will say we were a little concerned.” Said Morris. “I had several friends who were supposed to go to Oceans Calling, and they were sorely disappointed, but they turned around and made the most of it.”

The festival features over 25 artists, spread out over three stages, named “Boot, Scoot, and Boogie.” The jam-packed lineup brought country music fans from all over the country, especially looking forward to see the two main headliners, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson.
