Two arrested in on-going robbery investigation in Easton

Nicole Whitfield, 22, and Travon Roberts, 27,  both of Easton, Md. 

Police in Easton have arrested two suspects in connection to a robbery investigation on Monday.

Authorities with Easton PD say, the incident happened Sunday just after 2 AM, when an officer in the area of East End Liquors was approached by a man, asking for help.

Apparently, he was disoriented and could barely speak, but told the officer that he had apparently been robbed.

According to the records, the officer then noticed, the victim had extensive injuries, and was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital, where he was was treated and later released.

Easton PD says, further investigation revealed that the victim had been  talking to 22-year-old, Nicole Whitfield in the area of August Street and N. Higgins Street, just prior.

Apparently, when Whitfield left, two men attacked the victim, and robbed him. 

Detectives of the Easton PD, arrested both, 27-year-old, Travon Roberts, and Whitfield charging them with robbery, assault, theft and conspiracy.

According to the records, both were taken before a Talbot County District Court Commissioner.

Whitfield was ordered to be held on $15,000 bond and Roberts was temporary committed.
