Beebe Healthcare providing referral-based COVID-19 testing

LEWES, Del. – Beebe Healthcare has announced that they are now offering coronavirus referral-based testing for the community.

A physician order is required and an appointment will be made by Beebe. Patients should contact their primary care provider to obtain the provider order. Beebe will then reach out to the patient to schedule an appointment. This testing is car-based and walk-ups will not be allowed.

Beebe will collect the specimen and send it to a commercial lab. Patients should then contact their provider for results.

Those who do not have a primary care provider but are in need of an assessment should call Beebe’s coronavirus screening line at 302-645-3200. The caller will be screened and assessed for possible testing, and if they need it, the provider will place an order that can be used at one of the referral-based testing sites. The line will be staffed seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
