Parkside blasts Kent Island off Cannon’s big game

The Parkside Rams softball team blanked Kent Island 10-0 in five innings, to advance in the MPSSAA softball playoffs.

Maggie Cannon had two home runs, including a grand-slam in the bottom of the third  to open up the Rams lead to 5-0.  Cannon also earned the win for the Rams, striking out 10 Bucs in four innings. For Kent Island, Shaniya Curtis made some dazzling catches in center field.

The Rams advance to face #2 seed North Caroline on Monday, in Ridgely for a chance to move into the sectional final.
