Adult and teen arrested on gun charges in Easton

Police in Easton say they have wrapped up a month long investigation, with two weapons arrests.

Easton Police say on Friday, Officers with the Special Operations Division searched two residences on Leontyne Place, in connection with the month long investigation. Officials say the investigation began after several complaints of suspected controlled substance violations, happened in that area.

After the searches, Police say they arrested 22-year-old Janesha Blackwell, of Easton, and charged her with CDS possession w/ intent to distribute, CDS possession – marijuana, CDS possession – paraphernalia. Blackwell was then ordered to be held at the Talbot County Detention Center on a $10,000. A 15-year-old was also apparently charged with possession of regulated with firearm under 21-years of age. The teen was apparently referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.

Easton Police say the S.W.A.T. Team, Dorchester County Sheriff’s S.T.A.R. Team, Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, and the Talbot County Narcotics Task Force all assisted in the investigation.
