Dorchester Co. Health Department Offering Rabies Clinics

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Pet owners in Dorchester County will soon have the opportunity to save some cash on their furry friends’ vaccinations.

The county Health Department is hosting rabies clinics in Church Creek and East New Market on October 7th and 10th, offering five dollar rabies shots to help protect pets. Especially those in more rural areas who are more likely to encounter infected animals. 

“We offer these $5 clinics so everyone can afford to follow the law and protect their pets, because local wild animals like raccoons, skunks, foxes and bats carry rabies. A vaccinated pet acts like a shield that keeps the disease away from your family,” says John Griep with the Dorchester County Health Department.
