TEDx Butterfish Cove and E-Volution Expo Bring Innovation and Inspiration to Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. From September 18th through the 20th, Ocean City is becoming a hub from Innovators, Entrepreneurs, and Educators.

The Convention Center hosted the first ever TedxButterfish Cove speaker series on September 18th. The event will be followed by the E-volution Expo, which showcases premier technology and new innovations.

Brad Hoffman is the assistant director for Tedx Butterfish Cove, and explained the significance of the event.

“It’s a platform for some of the greatest speakers in the world to not talk about their book or talk about their products or their services.” Said Hoffman. “It’s purely about their story and how they got to where they are in their lives. And that’s why we were so excited to do it here in Ocean City for the first time ever with TEDx Butterfish Cove.”

Speakers like Mike Rucker, a Behavioral Scientist, discussed a variety of topics, aiming to broaden listeners world-views.

“They’re really in the spirit of Ted bringing together and so many innovators with regards to clean energy, health.” Said Rucker.  “You know, my, my field, technology and just innovation in general.”

Categories that will be discussed over the weekend include sustainability, health and wellness, electronic vehicles, robotics, and future-focused solutions.

Executive Director of the E-Volution Expo Brad Hoffman, hopes visitors, come interested, and leave inspired.

“We want them to leave here wanting more, you know?” Said Hoffman. “And that’s what we’re doing over this weekend is almost I’m calling it tech tourism, something that hasn’t been done really in the whole country that we brought together all these big pillars in Ocean City under one weekend.”
