Authorities Investigating Fatal Wicomico County Crash

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Authorities in Wicomico County are investigating a fatal crash that happened Wednesday, September 16.

Around 5:14 p.m., Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Mardela Volunteer Fire Department responded to the area of Norris Twilley Road and Norfolk Drive in Wicomico County for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving injuries.

An investigation indicates a vehicle left the roadway and overturned multiple times.

One passenger was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.

The driver and another passenger were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office say speed and alcohol may be contributing factors in the crash.

At this time, the identities of those involved are being withheld.
