Dover Police Investigate Burglary at Apartment Complex

DOVER, Md. – The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Towne Point Apartments on Friday afternoon. 

Around 6:36 p.m. on Sept. 4, officers responded to the 800 block of Carvel Drive after a 21-year-old female reported that her apartment had been burglarized. She reported returning home from work at 5:40 p.m. when she noticed that her front door was unlocked. Once inside, she told police she observed that the blinds covering one of her windows had been disturbed. The window was unlocked, and the exterior screen had been lifted.

The victim later discovered that two debit or credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen. Investigators reviewed video surveillance that showed the suspect knocking on the victim’s door at 3:44 p.m. The suspect was then seen leaving the apartment approximately four minutes later.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a light-colored, two-tone hat, a black T-shirt, green athletic shorts, and flip-flops.
