Princess Anne Police Pull Over Man Wanted for Attempted Murder
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Princess Anne Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Friday evening that ended with the arrest of a wanted attempted murder suspect.
On Sept. 4, around 6:50 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Somerset Avenue near UMES Boulevard for a traffic infraction. During the stop, the officer identified an occupant as 21-year-old Tazmeir Townsend, who police say was wanted by the Crisfield Police Department on an active arrest warrant for attempted murder and additional related charges.
Townsend was taken into custody without incident and was committed to the Somerset County Detention Center.
