Street Therapy Learning Grand Opening on September 7th
SALISBURY, Md. – The grand opening of the Street Therapy Learning and Recreation Center is happening on September 7th at 1pm.
Located on 1303 South Salisbury Blvd, Unit D, the purpose of the new establishment is to have a place for youth to learn, grow, and heal.
Community members, stakeholders, and city officials are all invited. Byron Coulbourn, the executive director for the center, says it’s all about helping others discover their purpose.
“They don’t know that if I shoot or sell drugs, I might go away for a long time because they are in survival mode. So that’s where Mr. B comes in with the experience part because if you do this, this might be the time you’ll get, or you hurt someone, this potentially you’ll get this consequence. So let’s go to college or get paid for something you are good at. Because ultimately, these kids don’t know that I can actually get paid for drawing or pick up a trade and use my hands. If I’m fighting, I can go box.”
