Rehoboth Beach DART Bus Crashes into Traffic Circle Wall

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Rehoboth Beach Police Department responded to an early morning crash on Wednesday after a DART bus collided with the retaining wall in the traffic circle.

At 2:34 a.m. on Sep. 2, officers responded to the traffic circle on Rehoboth Avenue for a report of a vehicle collision. The crash caused moderate damage to both the retaining wall and the bus, which was empty at the time, with the exception of the driver.

Police say that while the crash remains under investigation, preliminary findings suggest that the driver experienced a medical episode prior to the collision. He was taken to an are hospital for further evaluation, but reported no injuries from the crash.
