DSP Investigates Early Morning Murder-Suicide in Harrington

HARRINGTON, Del. – The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating a murder-suicide that occurred early Wednesday morning near Harrington.

On Aug. 26, around 3:00 a.m., troopers responded to the 200 block of Whiteleysburg Road, for a report of two unresponsive people in a ditch. When troopers arrived, they found a 62-year-old man with a gunshot wound, and a 36-year-old man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names are being withheld until their families are notified.
