“Healthy Worcester Families” Life Skills Program Returns To Worcester County Health Department

SNOW HILL, Md. – The Worcester County Health Department kicked off their “Healthy Worcester Families” Life skills program for parents to gain professional advice for their adolescent children.

The 9 week course aims to improve youth communication skills, form positive role models, and reduce the risk of substance abuse.

Dawn Richardson works in the program for the Worcester County Health Department, and explains the framework of the initiative.

“What kind of adult would you like to raise?” Said Richardson. “You know, because you have to have some form of guide, some form of math, some form of guide to follow and have an idea as to what you’d like to see.”

The classes are no cost and held Mondays from 11:30-1:30 pm. at the Worcester County Health Department (6040 Public Landing Road, Snow Hill, MD 21863).
