DSP Seeks Suspect in Seaford Shooting, Attempted Robbery

SEAFORD, Del. – The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Greenwood man following an attempted robbery and shooting that occurred Friday night in Seaford.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Arturo Morgado-Sanchez.

On Aug. 21, around 9:30 p.m., troopers responded to TidalHealth Nanticoke for a 26-year-old man who was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. A preliminary investigation revealed that an hour earlier, the victim was walking on Brickyard Road near the Mobile Gardens community, when a truck stopped behind him. The suspect, identified by the victim as Morgado-Shanchez, allegedly got out of the truck, demanded the victim’s property, and shot him. The victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

The incident remans under investigation.
