19-Year-Old Critically Injured in Midday Cambridge Shooting

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A 19-year-old has been airlifted to University of Maryland Shock Trauma after being shot multiple times on Tuesday afternoon in Cambridge.

On Aug. 18 at 1:12 p.m., officers with the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating multiple rounds of gunfire in the 400 block of Skinners Court. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed from the area and towards the local hospital. While officers were responding to the alert, other units diverted and followed the vehicle. Police learned there was a 19-year-old male victim inside the vehicle with gunshot wound to the neck, torso, and arm.

Police say the victim is being flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma.
