Felton Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill Elderly Family Member
FELTON, Del. – The Felton Police Department has arrested a man on a terroristic threatening charge following a domestic-related incident.
On Thursday, Aug. 13, around 10:13 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Jefferson Street for a reported domestic-related dispute. Upon arrival, officers contacted an elderly, disabled victim who reported receiving multiple threats to kill him from a family member. The victim told officers he feared for his safety before providing written documentation of the alleged threats. Following an investigation, officers determined that probable cause existed and obtained an arrest warrant for 40-year-old Caleb Andrew Sapp of Felton.
At 2:55 p.m. on the same afternoon, patrol officers observed Sapp driving in the area of Jefferson Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop and took him into custody without incident.
Sapp was charged with one count of terroristic threatening, arraigned, and released a $2,000 secured bail. He was also issued a no-contact order prohibiting contact with the victim pending further court proceedings.
