DNREC Closes Seaford Fishing Pier Following Structure Inspection

SEAFORD, Del. – The Delaware DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife is closing the Seaford Fishing Pier following an engineering assessment of the structure on Thursday morning.
Around 9:00 a.m., the Division made the announcement, saying the nearby boat ramp and parking lot will remain open and are unaffected. Further, in light of the engineering assessment, DNREC crews will begin the process of designing and replacing the fishing pier.
Anglers who utilize this pier are encouraged to utilize the smaller public fishing pier at River View Park which is directly adjacent to the Seaford Boat Ramp.
