20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Succumbs to Injuries from Milford Crash

MILFORD, Del. – The Milford Police Department (MPD) is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred at the end of July.

On Jul. 31, at approximately 1:15 a.m., authorities say a black Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling northbound on North DuPont Boulevard approaching the intersection at North Walnut Street. As the motorcycle approached the intersection, it failed to stop at the traffic signal and collided with a Gray GMC Acadia SUV that was turning left from Warner Road. As a result of the collision, the operator of the motorcycle was ejected, and the GMC Acadia struck a fire hydrant and utility pole.

Officers with MPD and Delaware State Police arrived on scene and began life saving measures on the 20-year-old male operator of the motorcycle, later identified as Gavin Webb of Milford. Webb was transported to an area hospital where he was initially admitted in critical condition. Investigators were later notified that he succumbed to his injuries.

The 17-year-old male operator of the GMC Acadia did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision.
