18-Year-Old Killed in Fatal Crash in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 4:14 p.m. on Aug. 11, troopers from the Maryland State Police Easton Barrack responded to the 2300 block of Church Creek Road (MD 16) in Cambridge for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Their preliminary investigation revealed a Ford Explorer was traveling south, approaching a left-hand curve, when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control, traveled off the roadway, and overturned.
The driver, identified as 18-year-old Alivea Todd of Cambridge, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The roadway was closed for nearly two hours while the scene was investigated. The crash remains under investigation.
