Centreville Pole Barn Destroyed by Fire

CENTREVILLE, Md. – An early morning fire in Centreville destroyed a barn.

Crews from the Goodwill Fire Company, along with surrounding agencies, responded to the structure fire on Wrights Neck Road around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Once on scene, they found a a 60-foot by 125-foot pole building fully involved in flames, with an exposure to a horse stable.

Crews worked diligently to control the fire until around 7 a.m.

A pet rabbit died during the incident, but no other animals or people were injured.

Officials say you still may see smoke in the area as the contents of the barn still burn and smolder.
