Autism Support Backpacks Donated to Wicomico Sheriff’s Office

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Tonight’s Good News is brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming out of the new school year.

The Hussman Institute for Autism has donated 30 autism support backpacks to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office!

These kits provide officers with additional tools to help individuals during emergency interactions. Tools provided include communication boards and visual supports to break down communication barriers.

Well done to the Hussman Institute and Wicomico deputies for taking time to learn & serve this community.
