Rehoboth Art League Fine Arts and Craft Show

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.– Hundred of artists are gathering in Rehoboth Beach this weekend as the Rehoboth Art League’s annual outdoor fine art show returns to celebrate creativity along Delaware’s coast.

More than 100 artists are showcasing their work in a wide range of mediums, including oil painting, sculpture, glass, and more.

“We have 100 different artists here displaying everything from oil painting, to sculpture to glass, to pottery to jewelry– really any medium you can think of,” event organizer Kelly Wells said.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can meet the artists and learn about the inspiration behind their work. Artists say those face-to-face conversations are one of the most rewarding parts of the event.

“Just meeting new people,” artisit Michelle Mardis said. “When I paint something, I have no idea where it’s going to end up. Then I meet a customer, they fall in love with my work, and that’s why I paint what I do.”

Organizers say the event offers more than an opportunity to view artwork, giving visitors a chance to experience a different side of Rehoboth Beach.

“It’s fun,” Wells said. “It’s a little different than just coming to the beach to see the beach. You get a little bit of variety in what you get to see during your trip to Rehoboth.”

The annual art show gives both visitors and local residents an opportunity to support regional artists while enjoying one of the area’s signature summer traditions.
