Juvenile Seriously Injured After Bicycle Crash in Snow Hill

SNOW HILL, Md. — A juvenile was flown to a trauma center Friday after being seriously injured in a collision involving a bicycle and a vehicle in Snow Hill, according to police.
The Snow Hill Police Department said officers responded July 31 to the intersection of Market Street and Washington Street for a reported crash involving a bicycle.
When officers arrived, they found a juvenile male, the lone rider of the bicycle, being treated by bystanders. Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Company and paramedics responded to the scene before the juvenile was airlifted to a trauma center by the Maryland State Police Aviation Command due to the severity of his injuries.
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
According to preliminary findings, the juvenile was riding the bicycle into oncoming traffic when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Market Street.
The investigation remains ongoing.
