Cambridge Group Hosting Community Resource Day Saturday

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – A local group is partnering with the City of Cambridge to kick off Back to School season this weekend.

Operation Pathways is partnering with the city for a community resource day, Saturday, August first with the goal of helping kids get the supplies they need.

From backpacks to clothes, the resource day is meant to help take some of the pressure off of local parents.

And Cambridge Mayor, Lajan Cephas says they want to set kids up for success in September.

“It takes some of that stress away from parents trying to trying to put pennies and dollars together so they can make sure their kids are going back to school and in dress code and also making sure they have the proper school supplies,” says Cambridge Mayor, Lajan Cephas.

The Community Resource Day will take place Saturday at Calvin Mowbray & Stephen Camper Park at 700 Weaver Avenue from 4 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
