Seaford PD Arrest Man for Holding Juvenile Captive with Machetes
SEAFORD, Del. – The Seaford Police Department (SPD) has arrested a man in connection with holding a juvenile captive while wielding machetes.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Youvensley Estimable on charges of possessing a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated criminal mischief, aggravated menacing, first degree unlawful imprisonment, and terroristic threatening. The warrant will be served once he is released from the hospital.
On Thursday, Jul. 30, officers with SPD and the Delaware State Police responded to the 300 block of North Hall Street for a report of a juvenile being held captive in a bedroom by an adult subject. Initial reports included that the adult subject was armed with machetes.
Upon arrival on the scene, officers cleared the residence ensuring that the juvenile and other residents were safe. Officers received information that the subject had fled into the community, but were able to quickly located the suspect, identified as Estimable. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to a nearby medical facility for evaluation and treatment.
A search of the nearby area was conducted and resulted in two machetes being found.
