Ocean City Hosts Pro Footvolley Tour’s 2026 Nations Cup
OCEAN CITY, Md. – A pro sports tournament featuring international talent is coming to Ocean City, but spectators may be unfamiliar with the beach sport, Footvolley.
Sergio Menezes is the CEO of the Pro Footvolley Tour, along with a former player, and helped to describe the sport to those who have never heard of it.
“Footvolley is basically, soccer players playing volleyball, beach volleyball.” Said Menezes. “It’s kind of what it is. But it’s, it’s just a really fun sport that.”
Ocean City is welcoming athletes for the Pro Footvolley Tour’s 2026 Nations Cup, a four day international competition, organized with the help of OC Tourism. National teams represented at the event include The United Kingdom, Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, and The United States.
One of the UK athletes, Daine Morris, explains that the event will entertain even first-time viewers.
“It doesn’t matter if you’ve ever seen it before.” Said Morris. “Come down to watch because it’s spectacular. Even if you don’t understand the rules at the beginning, you’ll enjoy. It is a really spectacular sport.”
The tournament is completely free to the public, and kicks off on Thursday Jul. 30th, and continues until the championship matchup on Sunday Aug. 2nd.
