Crews respond to house fire in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Georgetown Fire Company and mutual aid agencies responded to a house fire in Georgetown Monday morning.
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company said on July 20, the Indian River, Millsboro, Milton, Laurel and Dagsboro fire companies assisted the Georgetown Fire Company with a residential structure fire on Wood Branch Road.
The first arriving units found a single family dwelling with fire showing, as well as smoke all around the structure and utilities.
All occupants were accounted for and safe.
The Delaware State Fire Marshall was on scene and is investigating the cause.
The Indian River Volunteer Company said the Delaware State Fire Police and other agencies coordinated the closure of Wood Branch Road between Sussex Pines Drive and Zoar Road.
