17-Year-Old Frontier Town Employee Seriously Injured in Tractor Accident

BERLIN, Md. – A 17-year-old was flown to shock trauma on Thursday evening after he was seriously injured while operating a tractor at Frontier Town.

On Jul. 17, at 8:17 p.m., deputies with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office responded to amusement park located on Stephen Decatur Highway, to assist the Berlin Fire Company with a reported traumatic injury.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 17-year-old employee was operating a tractor on the property when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash. The teenage employee subsequently fell from the tractor and was run over by the equipment, before being airlifted for treatment.

Authorities say no further details will be released due to the victim’s age.
